Dr. Kligman, A Board Certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea, LASIK and cataract surgery specialist at SightMD was selected to serve on the Program Committee for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting. For the second year in a row, Dr. Kligman will be a Reviewer for the Refractive Surgery section of the meeting, responsible for evaluating and selecting the research and instructional courses to be presented at the largest annual meeting of ophthalmologists in the world. He was one of four reviewers selected nation-wide. The AAO Annual Meeting will be held November 14th to 17th in Las Vegas, NV.

There will be eight sub-committees assembled for each specialty in ophthalmology to select the content to be presented at the annual meeting from the thousands of abstracts submitted. The sub-committee for refractive surgery is comprised of 6 members selected by the Program Chair from the top academic and private practices around the world. This prestigious group of physicians reviews research and instructional courses related to LASIK, PRK, and other refractive procedures. Dr. Kligman said “It is a great honor and responsibility to be chosen for the second year in a row to serve on this committee. I have an opportunity to evaluate cutting edge research and help to decide what is worthy of presentation to my colleagues to advance the understanding and practice of our specialty.”
