Bio

Dr. Lisa Athwal is a board certified ophthalmologist with special interest in the management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and more. During her training, Dr. Athwal presented ophthalmology research projects at national meetings and coauthored a research paper on pediatric infectious endophthalmitis. She also participated in local and international volunteer work to provide free eye exams to patients in need. Now that she has returned to her hometown seeing patients at the office in Toms River, New Jersey, and she hopes to make a positive contribution to the community she loves. In her spare time, she loves travelling and playing tennis.
