Glaucoma Specialist, Amy Mehta, M.D., Joins SightMD

SightMD, a leading multi-specialty ophthalmology platform and a portfolio company of Chicago Pacific Founders (“CPF”), today announced that it has hired glaucoma specialist, Amy Mehta, M.D. to join its growing team of over 80 providers in the Tri-state area.

Dr. Mehta is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the latest breakthroughs in glaucoma management and surgical techniques. Dr. Mehta earned her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in Boston, where she graduated with honors. She then went on to earn her medical degree from New York Medical College and complete ophthalmology training at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. 

After completing her residency training, Dr. Mehta embarked on a Glaucoma Fellowship at the prestigious Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where she earned the coveted ‘Fellow of the Year’ award. Dr. Mehta is active in glaucoma research and has co-authored numerous articles in national and international medical journals.

Dr. Mehta is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys running in her spare time, having completed multiple NYC Marathons.
