Don't Book with Dr. Lisa Paolini see Dr. Richter! I booked two months out on a day my sons school was off, 10/09/19, because he plays a sport and I refused to to him out of school. I get a call 36 hours before his appointment "For unforeseen circumstances the doctor will not be in". Now my son needs to get an Rx to get more contacts in two weeks before he runs out. So I ask for 10/14/19 Columbus Day, another day when he has off from school. I get the same excuse "For unforeseen circumstances the doctor will not be in". If I look at my sons school schedule two months in advanced to make an appointment for when he is off then Dr. Lisa Paolini should be able to look at her kids school calendar the day it comes out in August and block her schedule. I should not get a call after office hours 36 hours before his appointment. She has total disrespect for her patients and I will never make an appointment with her again. Dr. Richter is the man, he has taken metal out of my eye and had treated me for other eye problems.

Best doctor -- professional, caring, takes time to answer all of your questions and explain things no matter how busy the office is. The staff is also very professional and organized, and they all work as a team. Also convenient if you need to change appointment date. And this new office has lots of parking!

Our Huntington office is equipped to provide several types of diagnostic tests and treatment:

Visual Field Test – During a visual field test, your doctor will analyze your central and peripheral vision. The test may be automated, or your doctor may simply cover one eye and ask you to identify different numbers of fingers as he holds his hand up. By assessing your entire scope of vision, we can diagnose and monitor conditions like glaucoma.

Fundus Photography – Fundus photographs capture images of the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. A healthy retina is key to maintaining clear vision, and this fragile tissue can be impacted by high blood pressure, diabetes, and other general and ocular health conditions. These digital photos can be used for diagnosis or to create a baseline measurement to track changes.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) – This non-invasive imaging test uses light waves to produce cross-sectional pictures of the retina. Measuring the thickness of various retinal layers allows us to screen for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and more.

External Photography – Capturing photos of the eye can track corneal health. It can also be used to assess the health of the iris, conjunctiva, sclera (white portion of the eye), and lens.

LASIK – Tired of dealing with glasses or contacts? SightMD’s Huntington location on New York Ave offers laser vision correction procedures like LASIK eye surgery. For qualified patients, LASIK at SightMD is the key to visual freedom. Want to find out if LASIK is right for you? Schedule a LASIK consultation with us!
