Allen S. Greenbaum, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined Westchester Eye Associates in 1983. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Rutgers College, and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then received his medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and completed his ophthalmology residency at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he remains on the attending staff, training residents in eye surgery. Dr. Greenbaum is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at White Plains Hospital, and continues as a member of that department’s staff.
Dr. Greenbaum is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, with a special interest in refractive cataract surgery, including laser cataract surgery with premium lens implants (which reduces dependence on glasses). He is also an accomplished laser refractive surgeon, having helped pioneer LASIK and PRK procedures since FDA approval in the 1990s. Over the years, Dr. Greenbaum has performed thousands of successful cataract and laser surgeries and is an active member of The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
