Dr. Irene Magramm is an board certified pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in surgical correction of strabismus (crossed eyes) and relief of double vision with prism correction.
Dr. Magramm works out of our Riverhead 54 Office.
Dr. Magramm was born, raised and educated in New York City, and studied at Cornell University Medical College. After medical school, she completed her internship in Medicine at St. Lukes Hospital in Manhattan, followed by a three year residency in Ophthalmology at North Shore University. Dr. Magramm returned to Manhattan for her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat hospital, and served as full time resident Instructor for one year and part time resident instructor at MEETH for another four years.
Dr. Magramm began private practice in 1987 under the tutelage of her fellowship mentor. After relocating from New York City and settling into a quiet, country house on the north fork of Long Island, Dr. Magramm joined the SightMD team in 2021.
In her spare time, Dr. Magramm likes to walk her dog along the beat to enjoy the beauty of nature, and looks forward to new adventures.
