Seth D. Potash, MD is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Glaucoma specialist, practicing in Westchester County since 1993. After graduating Cum Laude from Johns Hopkins University, he earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. During his third year of medical school, Dr. Potash was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Honor Medical Society, a distinction reserved for the top six students in the class. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he was awarded an ARVO Research Grant.
Dr. Potash served as Chief of Ophthalmology at White Plains Hospital from 2014-2018 and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at New York Medical College and has served on the teaching faculty at both The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Westchester Medical Center, where he has been involved in resident education for the past twenty-six years. He is proud to have been named to a number of “Top Doctor” lists, including Castle Connolly Top Doctors, Leading Physicians of the World, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Westchester Wag Magazine. He has extensively published academic articles and abstracts and has presented his work at national meetings.
Dr. Potash’s practice is largely dedicated to glaucoma sub-specialty care and cataract surgery, both routine and complex, and has performed thousands of laser and surgical procedures.
In July 2021, Newsweek released the results of a nation-wide survey which placed Dr. Seth Potash as one of the top 300 Ophthalmologists/Optometrists in the country. The study polled over 10,000 members of the eye care community to rank their fellow physicians in three categories: the quality of care they provide, the continuity of that care, and the quality of the technology they use in their practices. Dr. Potash ranked #134 on the list.
