Smitha Voleti, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. She graduated cum laude from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York and then earned her medical degree from New York Medical College as part of an accelerated medical training program. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Voleti completed a medical internship at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut. She then returned to New York Medical College for her ophthalmology residency. During her training, she presented research studies at both regional and national ophthalmology conferences and was selected to serve as Chief Resident in her final year. She then went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, where she trained with world-renowned experts in the field of glaucoma.
Dr. Voleti practices general ophthalmology with a sub-specialty focus on the diagnosis and medical/surgical management of both routine and complex glaucoma. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
