SightMD Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy
In order to be respectful of the needs of all our patients, please be courteous and call the SightMD office promptly if you are unable to show up for your appointment. This allows us to offer for the time to be reallocated to someone who is in need of eye care. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we request that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another patient the opportunity to be seen by one of the doctors.
How to Cancel your Appointment
To cancel an appointment, please call our office at 855.295.4144. If you do not reach one of our staff, please leave a detailed message on our voicemail. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please leave your phone number. We will return your call and make arrangements for an appointment at another time.
A cancellation is considered ‘Late” when the patient or guardian cancels a scheduled appointment with less than 24-hours notice.
No Show Policy
A “no-show” occurs when a patient misses their appointment without cancelling in an adequate manner. Failure to be present at the scheduled time of your appointment will be recorded. No-show appointments will be subject to a $25 fee. We understand that there may be some circumstances that arise, those situations will be taken into consideration.
We make every effort to be on time for all our patients. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day. In light of this, patients arriving more than 10 minutes after their appointed time will be asked to reschedule.
Your appointment is very valuable, as we have set aside the time of our doctors and technicians. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment time. All appointments canceled with less than a 48-hour notice will be subject to a $50 fee as we will be unable to fill that time slot. Thank you for your understanding.
