We are so proud to announce that Dr. Alanna Nattis was selected to be amongst the 6 surgeons from around the world to discuss new and evolving technologies in refractive surgery for the European Cataract and Refractive Surgery Meeting. Originally due to be hosted in Amsterdam, the meeting was switched to a virtual platform due to COVID-19.
Dr. Nattis discussed the topic of combining topography guided PRK with corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus. She was asked to argue for the use of a sequential technique for treating patients rather than a simultaneous technique, which was being argued by Dr. John Kanellopoulos from Greece. The debates took place during the session called “Controversies in Cataract and Refractive Surgery” which is sponsored by the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery–in which she published an article earlier this year discussing this exact topic.
