SightMD’s Dr. Alanna Nattis Co-Authors Article On Treating Dislocated Cataract Implant After A Patient Fall

In a case presented in Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today of a 73-year-old woman who experienced decreased vision in her post-cataract eye after she fell and dislodged her intraocular lens implant (IOL), Dr. Alanna Nattis and her co-authors reviewed treatment strategies in this challenging situation.  Dr. Nattis indicated she would either attempt to reposition the IOL or explant the IOL and temporarily leave the patient aphakic in order to return another day for the implantation of a secondary IOL.
