Vitreo-retinal Specialist, Nazanin Barzideh, M.D., F.A.C.S., Joins SightMD

SightMD, a leading multi-specialty ophthalmology platform and a portfolio company of Chicago Pacific Founders (“CPF”), today announced that it has hired retinal specialist Nazanin Barzideh, M.D., F.A.C.S. to join its growing team of over 70 providers in the Tri-state area.

Dr. Barzideh is a fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal surgeon who has been providing care to patients on Long Island since 2011.  Most recently, Dr. Barzideh served as Chief of Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at NYU Winthrop Hospital.  She is a voluntary attending physician at NYU Langone, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary at Mt. Sinai and NYU Winthrop. At NYU Winthrop Dr. Barzideh has educated numerous residents and medical students throughout her career.

Dr. Barzideh earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with Honors from The University of Rochester, prior to attending SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.  She completed her Internship at Westchester Medical Center and her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she served as a Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Barzideh completed a two-year medical and surgical vitreo-retinal fellowship at the National Retina Institute in Maryland.

Dr. Barzideh is seeing patients in SightMD’s state-of-the-art practices in Garden City, NY, Smithtown, NY and Riverhead, NY.
