SightMD, a leading multi-specialty ophthalmology platform and a portfolio company of Chicago Pacific Founders, today announced that it has hired retinal specialist Yefim Genson, D.O., F.A.C.S. to join its growing team of over 80 providers in the Tri-state area.
Dr. Genson is an attentive and uniquely-trained ophthalmologist with sub-specialty training in the diseases and surgery of the vitreous body of the eye and retina. Dr. Genson completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, where he served as Vice President of the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association. Dr. Genson then completed his ophthalmology training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Rockaway, New York.
After completing his residency training in ophthalmology, Dr. Genson embarked on his sub-specialty training at Koch Eye Associates in Warwick, Rhode Island, where he completed his medical retina fellowship. Dr. Genson is licensed to practice in both New York and Rhode Island and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Genson is fluent in English and Russian and enjoys exercising, rock climbing, reading, traveling and teaching in his spare time. “My goal as a new member of the SightMD team is to help the Company expand upon its track record of clinical excellence and growth,” said Dr. Genson.
