Am I a good candidate for LASIK?

Eligible patients must be at least 18 years old and have normal corneal shape and corneal thickness. If you are pregnant, nursing, have certain autoimmune diseases, or significant cataracts you may not be a LASIK candidate. Take the LASIK Self Test  >

What does LASIK feel like?

The LASIK procedure only lasts about 10-15 minutes, and patients typically feel mild pressure in the eyes. Your doctor will administer numbing drops into your eyes, and will talk you through the entire surgery to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

Does LASIK wear off?

The simple answer is: No. Because early lasers were not as accurate, patients often thought that the effects of LASIK faded over time. Today, as little as 1% of patients need enhancements or touch-ups after surgery.

How much does LASIK cost?

The overall cost of LASIK may vary depending on the level of correction needed. While LASIK can seem expensive, we offer payment and financing options such as CareCredit to help fit your budget. Learn More about Paying for Your Care

What is recovery like?

Some mild discomfort may occur immediately following the procedure, and full recovery typically takes only 24 to 48 hours. After your surgery, the best thing you can do is go home and rest!
