He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan.

He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency through Nassau University and Stony Brook University, followed by specialized fellowship training in glaucoma at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he developed advanced expertise in both surgical and medical glaucoma care.

Originally born in Chicago, Dr. Llinas spent much of his life in Manhattan before relocating to Long Island, where he now resides with his wife and young children. He is proud to serve the local community, providing specialized glaucoma care close to home.
