Dr. Ellant earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where he developed strong expertise in both medical and surgical ophthalmology. Through his training and clinical experience, Dr. Ellant has built a comprehensive skill set that allows him to treat a wide range of eye conditions while delivering excellent surgical outcomes.
In addition to cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Ellant provides comprehensive eye care and has trained as a corneal specialist as well. He was also an early adopter of microinvasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) and was the first surgeon at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary to implant an iStent for glaucoma.
