Cecilia Dong, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmic care. She is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based treatment while helping patients preserve and protect their vision through every stage of life.

Originally from Beijing, China, Dr. Dong completed her secondary education in Missouri and Southern California before earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from UCLA. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, where she became the institution’s first recipient of the prestigious Research to Prevent Blindness Medical Student Fellowship.

Dr. Dong completed her Internal Medicine internship at New York Hospital Queens, followed by her Ophthalmology residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She then pursued advanced subspecialty training through a Glaucoma Fellowship at Acuity Eye Group in California.

Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional glaucoma surgery.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Dong has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in both basic science and clinical ophthalmology and has presented her research at national and international medical conferences.
