Dr. Jenna Farmer is a highly skilled optometrist dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive eye care to patients in Shamokin and throughout Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree through the Pennsylvania College of Optometry Accelerated Scholars Program at Drexel University’s Elkins Park Campus, graduating as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society. Dr. Farmer also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from Bucknell University, where she was very involved in biology research, and earned numerous academic accolades and multiple athletic awards recognizing her excellence in Division I track & field and cross-country.

Dr. Farmer is board certified in the therapeutic management of ocular disease. Her extensive clinical training has provided her with broad expertise in contact lens fittings, pediatric care, and ocular manifestations of systemic health conditions. Dr. Farmer has hands-on experience managing complex cases involving advanced dry eye disease, glaucoma, and retinal disease co-management, alongside routine and specialty vision care. She also remains active in professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.

Dr. Farmer, a proud graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and Bucknell University, is proud to care for patients near her hometown community at the SightMD Shamokin office. In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, and brainstorming new ways to pamper her two cats with her husband. Dr. Farmer is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with her patients and helping them achieve optimal vision and eye health.
