Brittany M. Perzia, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cornea & External Disease. She completed her ophthalmology residency training at Yale University School of Medicine and her fellowship in cornea, cataract, refractive and external disease at the University of Colorado. Dr. Perzia earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook and completed her undergraduate education at Boston College, graduating as Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Communication.
Dr. Perzia graduated residency with distinction, receiving the Yale Academic Excellence Award, and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She has built a strong academic portfolio with extensive peer-reviewed publications across cornea and external disease, ocular oncology, oculoplastics, infectious eye disease, and lifestyle medicine and dietary research. Her work has been published in leading ophthalmology journals and presented at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. Perzia is committed to service and community engagement and volunteers regularly with local and national organizations such as New York Cares. Her professional interests include corneal disease, complex anterior segment pathology, and integrating clinical research with patient-centered care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, fishing, reading, knitting, baking, and spending quality time with her family. She strives to treat every patient as she would want her own parents, grandparents, or loved ones to be treated.
